Rising from the heart of the Tularosa Basin is one of the world's great natural wonders - the glistening white sands of New Mexico. Great wave-like dunes of gypsum sand have engulfed 275 square miles of desert, creating the world's largest gypsum dunefield. White Sands National Monument preserves a major portion of this unique dunefield, along with the plants and animals that live here.
I found this place on instagram some times last year, I can't forget about its unique beauty ever since that I decided to make a trip out here in Next Mexico; I just need to see it in person. The pictures here don't do it justice. It was so siren and almost surreal. The moving sands are sparkly like diamonds and soft like water. Different from other desert, the sands here are moist due to the water underneath the desert. I highly recommend you to go visit this amazing place.
